Character History:
http://inazuma-eleven.wikia.com/wiki/Shindou_Takuto

Character Personality:
First and foremost, Shindou is a leader. He has an innate ability to inspire people to do their best. It's one of the reasons he's the team captain for a school that is widely reputed for having a strong soccer team. This position is handed over to him when he is only a first year by Sangoku Taichi, an upperclassman on the soccer team, who even tells Shindou that he has 'a talent of bringing the team together like a conductor who waves his baton in an orchestra,' which is true because the team trust him and his decisions greatly. His hissatsu technique, God’s Baton, displays this in that he can use it to direct his teammates where to go, who to pass the ball to and from where to shoot.

Other than his ability to lead, he also possesses other traits that make him a great captain. He is genuinely caring and always puts his team before himself, even outright admitting to Endou, the team's coach, that he is fighting (in the revolution against Fifth sector) for the team's sake and doesn't care about what happens to him. Of course this isn't something he needed to voice for it to be obvious because it's plainly evident through his actions already. Normally very quiet and reserved, Shindou can come off as being too serious at times but when it comes to his team or his friends, he will very vehemently defend them. For example, when Tsurugi Kyousuke, a Seed sent in by Fifth Sector to destroy Raimon's soccer team, insults the team, Shindou displays a very rare occurrence of out of control anger (he even starts crying). Extreme displays of emotion is rare for Shindou and yet for the sake of his team, he allowed anger to completely consume him.

Raimon is incredibly important to him and this is why he doesn't have a very high opinion of Tsurugi at first. This eventually changes when Tsurugi joins their revolution instead of fighting against them and Shindou begins to treat him like any other team member. This shows that despite intellectual prowess on the field, he can be pretty limited in his views. Once he is stuck thinking one thing, he is often unable to see the other side until something drastic comes along to change his mind. Another example of this is his willingness to follow Fifth Sector's rules even though he disagreed with them in the beginning. If he and his team were allowed to play soccer, then this was enough for him because at that time, he thought this was the right thing to do. Later on Tenma is able to persuade him otherwise and once he is part of the revolution, he gives his entire being into fighting to bring back real soccer.

Shindou is incredibly reliable, although sometimes he takes his role too seriously. Usually, this leads him to taking too much responsibility over the team and anything that happens. He will also very willingly accept the blame if it's something negative. Protecting the team is his duty as captain and he will do everything he can to fulfill that, even walk to the stadium on crutches, broken leg be damned, when Tenma needed him in Raimon’s battle against Seidouzan.

As mentioned earlier, Shindou will usually disregard his own safety for the sake of others, such as during the Seidouzan match as well as during the match against Arakumo when he continued playing despite being injured. He knows that without him, the team will break apart so he withstood his pain. This eventually results in him needing surgery to fix his leg but it shows his determination to help others.

Off the field, Shindou is pretty agreeable and has a mild manner although he does have moments where he is a little slow to grasp the point of something (such as not noticing Akane’s obvious crush on him). He is friendly though and will always take time encourage friends and let them know that he’s supporting them. He rarely has anything harsh to say unless it’s directed at someone he dislikes a lot. He is also very accepting, which is evident when he allowed Aoyama and Ichino back on the team despite the fact that they left the team after it got beaten down by Tsurugi.

Character Abilities you would like to expand on further:
Shindou is incredibly skilled with soccer, so much so that he was able to make the first team (schools that have a lot of members will have more than one team, with the first being the most skilled) as well as become captain while he was still a first year despite the fact that he started playing only when he entered middle school. He has been called a prodigy because of this. Not only is he skilled in soccer, but he also has a very tactical mind. The Raimon team depend on him greatly for his strategies and leadership in games. This is evident when he was in the hospital and the place of captain was replaced with Tenma. Without him, the team played very haphazardly.

His tactics and leadership are not the only skills he possesses on the soccer field. In their world, soccer players possess abilities called hissatsu techniques. There are a wide range of techniques and they can be either offensive or defensive. Most of Shindou’s techniques are offensive, particularly shoots (techniques that are meant to score goals), which reflects the fact that his position is either forward or midfielder (usually he is a midfielder though). It is interesting to note that he is a part of every hissatsu tactic that the Raimon team uses.

Another ability that can be found in the series is the ability to summon something called a 'keshin' or avatar. Only very few can summon a keshin and Shindou is one of them. To put it simply, a keshin is the manifestation of someone's will into physical form and they are used as a one-up ability in soccer games. Each person's keshin is different and reflective of its user in some way. Because of his love for music, Shindou's keshin takes the form of a conductor.

Playing piano is also another thing that Shindou can do very well and another field in which he is considered to be a prodigy with.

Character Weaknesses you would like to expand on further:
His biggest weakness is pretty much his tendency to bear all responsibilities and his willingness to help others without thinking of himself coupled with his mild nature tends to make him a bit of a doormat. He doesn’t really mind though.

The fact that he bottles up a lot of his emotions can be a big weakness as well. Usually it doesn’t matter but it is obvious that his overbearing responsibility is extremely stressful and once he reaches his limit, he can’t control himself very well. This leads to out of character violence or crying.

[ SOUL CAMPAIGN SECTION ]

What abilities will your character retain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.
He won’t have his hissatsu techniques nor the ability to summon a keshin when in game. He will retain his soccer skills and other abilities that resulted from physical training (such has high stamina, running fast, strength etc).

What weaknesses will your character lose or gain in Soul Campaign? Bullet-form is fine.

The wish Death the Kid made to the BREW in 2009 was to “rescue Death City and stop the waves of Madness from overtaking the world.” By whatever means necessary. Pretend you are the BREW. Why would you choose to bring this character to Death City?
Shindou is a very devoted individual. It might take some convincing but when there is a cause he believes in, he will give his all for it. He will definitely see that Death City needs helps and despite the fact that he feels his rightful place is back home with his friends fighting their own battle, he will do what’s needed of him to help Death City, regardless of his guilt for not being there for his team.

If your character has difficulty verbally communicating or can’t verbally communicate at all (mute or non-humanoid), elaborate on how this will be treated in the game.

[ WEAPON ONLY SECTION ]

Why is your character a Weapon and not a Meister?
Shindou is not a fighter, he is a commander and being a weapon will allow him to be closer to the action, in a sense, giving him a better understanding of the situation. He has a very tactical mind and will be able to strategize better this way. He’s there to aid his Meister, just like how he aided his team when they played soccer.

What is your character’s Weapon Form? Why?
Music is a great influence in Shindou’s life. It’s mentioned by another character that his family loves classical music and he is seen playing piano in multiple scenes, which he is considered a prodigy with. Even his solo hissatsu techniques are related to music in some way and his keshin takes the form of a conductor. With that in mind, his Weapon form is going to be a conductor’s baton, because in the end that’s what he is, a conductor. He’s a prodigy not only with music but with tactics and it’s his skills that his team relies on during soccer matches.

What is your character’s Weapon Ability?
His ability will allow the Meister control soundwaves. Waving the baton a certain way will send out different types of waves at different strengths. At a basic resonance, it will basically be like a strong but blunt wind. The waves at this point are very loose. The stronger the resonance, the better the Meister will have control as well as the stronger the waves will be. At strongest resonance, the waves will be more like a blade (think of an utrasonic sound cutter that uses high frequency to cut). Also, the stronger the resonance, the waves will begin to show colour. Pale yellow at first until it shines golden at perfect resonation.
